Requirements for obtaining a work permit
Your spouse or partner can get an open work permit if you:
- have a valid study permit;
- study full-time at one of the suitable educational institutions:
- public college or university or CEGEP in Quebec;
- college-level private school in Quebec;
- A Canadian private school that can legally award degrees under provincial law (for example, bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate degrees).
